Another 1.9% of the year has passed us by, and what do we have to show for it? A half-dozen or so articles published by Stock Gumshoe this week and sent out to an adoring public ... miss any of 'em? Let's catch you up -- don't want you to be embarrassed in front of the rest of the class.
We started out with a look at some "Undiscovered Stocks" being touted by Penny Stock All-Stars ... we just can't stand to let things remain undiscovered for long, so we discovered 'em for you so you can make your own choices about these tickers ... that article is here.
That wasn't all though, just read on for the rest of the week that was ...
-------advertisement-------- Why I'm Investing $117,238 In This Stock -Jeremy Phillips, Motley Fool Chief Technology Officer This company is growing faster than Apple, Amazon.com, and Google combined. In fact, I'm so confident about its profit potential that I officially promised our legal team I would invest five times more than I own in any other stock. And hold it until at least January 2018. But I'd rather not go on my million-dollar quest alone... so I'm inviting you to join me! You don't have to invest $117,238. But whatever amount you choose to put in, I advise you to do it NOW. Click here to discover my favorite stock! ----------------------------------- Steve Sjuggerud and his brother have been pitching some picks for what he sees as the likely decline in the market and in the dollar (eventually) -- he particularly touted the "safest currency" and the "perfect hedge" and we talked about those here. We spent a bit of time on Wednesday sniffing around the latest big teaser pitch from Dr. Kent Moors about the $175 Trillion Opportunity in South American energy -- no definitive answers given the paucity of clues, but we chatted about a few stocks that are relevant to that theme, you can see that note here. The folks at Cabot's Stock of the Month tell us they've found the "best stock in the market across all sectors" to feature as their September recommendation ... and thankfully, they throw out a few clues so we can identify and name the stock for you. It's an interesting pick, maybe it will catch your fancy if you're willing to pay a bit for growth, you can see our explanation here. Friday was an "Irregulars" day here at Stock Gumshoe, with our new content sent straight to those good folks who help us keep the lights on here on Gumshoe Mountain ... but I have gotten a lot of questions just since last night about this teaser for a stock that's seeing a "surge of insider buying" (the ad is here if you're curious) So I thought I should just let you know that it's the same stock Chris Versace has been pitching for months now as the "small cap superstar that Cisco, Verizon and Comcast can't do without" ... and we did cover it for you about two months ago so you can see the great unveiling and discuss the idea here if you like. And yes, I don't know if it will make you rich ... but the insider buying did happen more or less as teased (institutional ownership dipped a lot as insider buying ticked up, just FYI). If you're in the Irregulars, you might have also noticed a takeover bid on Friday for one of the stocks we've suggested over the years -- that came out after the Friday File was released, so my note about that is here if you're curious. The Friday File otherwise consisted of Myron Martin's latest column this week, so you can catch that here if you missed the email early this morning. Other recent Irregulars notes are in the Irregulars Corner to the right, as usual.
P.S. Remember that mistake I admitted about a Casey teaser? Well, their subsequent teasers for this same company let the cat out of the bag -- it wasn't a mistake, they just threw in a red herring in those earlier teasers to throw us off the scent. And while the September 16th news didn't move the stock much, it was noncommital, they're now expecting clearer results on October 15 to possibly drive the stock. You can see that article here, I haven't updated it but I'm taking my mistake back so I can make a new mistake on something else in the future :) |
