A sound money plan helps offset those risks and secure the future, especially for those months when the paychecks aren't so high.
People living on commissions need to prioritize their budget items each month. Food, utilities, transportation, mortgage or rent . . . The most important stuff should be taken care of first. If there's money to use after that, it's spent on the other items listed. If the money is not there, at least the big things are taken care of. In a good month, set a little aside to help out in the lean months. Remember: - Don't buy things you can't afford.
